Rodnoy Dom Recruits Companies to Help Orphans with Disabilities
Charitable foundation Rodnoy Dom, in cooperation with the International Chamber of Commerce Ukraine, Foxtrot, Aqua-Eco, Helen Marlen, Berster Ukraine and Avon Cosmetics Ukraine will raise awareness for International Disabilities Day by sponsoring a series of activities related to Rodnoy Dom's "Dobrochynna Ukraina" program that responds to various social needs. During this campaign, representatives from the participating companies will visit and provide humanitarian assistance to orphanages that are home to 14,000 children, many of whom are disabled, in Chernihiv and Cherkasy oblasts, Kyiv and Crimea. On December 11, Rodnoy Dom will host a press conference to discuss the program. For detailed information please click here (in Ukrainian).
The International Women's Club of Kyiv
Hosts its 15th Annual Holiday Charity Bazaar

On December 1, over 30 embassies set up stalls, bringing goods and delicious food offerings from their home countries to the 15th Annual Holiday Charity Bazaar organized by the International Women's Club of Kyiv (IWCK), which raised over $190,000 for charity. Several companies made in-kind contributions, such as goods or services for purchase or lottery contributions. All profits will go towards IWCK's charity fund. The club raises money to support its philanthropic and grant making activities that help support disadvantaged populations such as the disabled, the elderly, children and female victims of domestic violence. Last year, over 2,500 people attended the bazaar, raising over $120,000 for charity. Click here for more information.
Corporate Volunteerism
Ernst and Young Staff Volunteer at Orphanages in Ukraine
The staff of Ernst and Young Ukraine is helping to support three orphanages in various parts of Ukraine. Besides gifts and financial support, the staff regularly visit all orphanages to volunteer and engage in activities together with children. Recently, staff members from Ernst and Young visited orphanage in Ivaniv village, Vinnytsia oblast, were they initiated Subotnik together with the children and helped them clear ground for a playground that will be donated subsequently. Last month, volunteers visited Rodyna orphanage in Boyarka, Kyiv oblast, to whitewash the fence, on which children will later paint murals.
