Victor Pinchuk Foundation Helps Open a New Neonatal Center in Odesa City
On September 25, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the Odesa Regional Clinical Hospital opened a new "Cradles of Hope" neonatal care center. It is the 11th neonatal center of the Foundation's program, "Cradles of Hope," which has allocated over 12 million UAH towards reducing Ukraine's infant mortality rate and improving the quality of life of newborns, as well as to help the government transition to international standards for registering newborns. So far, over 16 thousand infants have been treated in the new centers at partner hospitals. Click here for more information.

Volia Sponsors Renovation Oncology Rooms in Children's Hospital
On September 25, Volia made a contribution to a charitable organization helping children living with cancer, "Crab." The funds will be used to renovate the children's ward of the Institute of Oncology at the Academy of Medicine Sciences in Ukraine. Volia, a cable TV and Internet company, plans to expand its social assistance programs in 2008. Read more about Volia's Corporate Social Responsibility here

DiaWest Computer World Gives Back to SchoolsAnatoly Balyuk, chairman of DiaWest Computer World, is urging all Ukrainian business leaders to help upgrade schools. Mr. Balyuk donated computer equipment to his own former school in Piyi village, Kyiv oblast, to help educate younger generations. The DiaWest Computer World example  has helped stimulate other businesses to support local schools. Last month, Crimean Company "VIPTEL - Ostrov DiJi" donated a computer lab to a school in Saki city. DiaWest Computer World encourages other companies to join the program. For more information (in Russian), click here.
