KPMG Staff Volunteer at Orphanages
KPMG employees are celebrating an anniversary this fall: for one year they have been spending one Saturday a month volunteering with orphans from the Nove Zalissia and Slavutich orphanages in Kyiv oblast. On an outing with 30 kids from Nove Zalissia in late September, KPMG staff took them to the zoo and for a pizza lunch at Chelentano. Typical outings include trips to the cinema, theater, circus and planetarium. An important aspect of this corporate volunteer program is interaction and communication with the children, who have limited contact with the world outside. In addition, KPMG donates small gifts and personal care items, while the staff collects money, clothes, books and toys for them in donation boxes in the KPMG office.
