Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Ukraine CSR bulletin, which will provide weekly news on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and corporate-community partnerships in Ukraine. This bulletin seeks to inform companies, non-commercial organizations, media outlets, educators, community leaders and government officials about what's going on and how to get involved. | UGF Honors Top Corporate Philanthropists |

The Ukrainian Grantmaker's Forum is accepting nominations for "Corporate Philanthropist of the Year" to recognize corporate social responsibility and encourage transparent charity. UGF will select the best corporate philanthropist in several categories, hoping to stimulate companies to publicize their achievements in the social sphere. Applications are due September 26, 2007. | SCM and FDU "Stop Tuberculosis" |
| System Capital Management Group's Foundation for Development of Ukraine launched a national information campaign, "Stop Tuberculosis in Ukraine" this month. Coordinating with government, business and nonprofit stakeholders, the project plans to build facilities and support research to improve the quality of Tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment. Open Ukraine Opens its Doors
A new foundation embarks in Ukraine this week with the launch of Open Ukraine, founded by Arseny Yatsenyuk and Zbigniev Drzymala. The nonpartisan organization will support public diplomacy, raise the profile of Ukraine internationally, and provide information and legal aid to Ukrainian citizens, supporting a young generation of Ukrainian intellectuals, labor migrants, and Ukrainian diaspora to consolidate the efforts of civil society towards European integration and to strengthen the Ukrainian position worldwide.
