Telenor Contributes to Energy Efficiency in Ukraine
Norwegian telecommunications company, Telenor, will support energy projects at the local level in Ukraine. Telenor's implementing partner, the East Europe Foundation (EEF), announced a grant competition on January 30 to solicit proposals for "Energy efficiency: Municipal Partnerships for Better Energy Use." Local NGOs in cooperation with local governments may submit proposals to introduce innovative approaches to improve energy efficiency at the local level. DTEK Seeks Input on CSR Policy and Plan
On December 11, the Donbass Fuel-Energy Company (DTEK) hosted a conference on "CSR and the Ethics Code of DTEK." The company presented a draft corporate policy on CSR and an internal version of its 2006 social report, opening a discussion to garner feedback on the initiative. DTEK posted some of these documents on the in Internet and the company invites external stakeholders to comment and offer suggestions. Click here to provide your perspective. |

LPW Conducts CSR Training for Businesses in Ukraine
On February 11, the League of Professional Women will host a one day training "CSR: Basic Course for corporate sector" for the national business sector. With support from the U.S. Embassy's Democracy Grants Program and participation of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine, LPW will lead discussion on implementing CSR in Ukraine and NGO and corporate cooperation on social projects. The PR League of Ukraine Reports on Social Activities
|
|
PR League of Ukraine, a member of Ukraine's Global Compact Initiative, presented their first social report. The main focus of the organization's social activities during 2007 was raising public awareness of CSR by organizing media events and campaigns, research, etc. The league is also a member of Forum of Corporate Responsible Businesses of Ukraine.
