Ukrainian Companies Improving Disclosure; Still Lagging behind CEE Peers

Ukrainian listed companies are disclosing more information online now than a year ago, according to the Partners for Financial Stability (PFS) Program's 14th semi-annual regional survey Investor Relations Online released March 4. The PFS Program (a public-private partnership co-financed by USAID), conducts two semi-annual regional surveys; the most recent edition of IR Online documents that despite the increase in openness, the Ukrainian companies surveyed disclose less information online on management and board members than their peers in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as well as in the BRIC counties (Brazil, Russia, India and China.)  Since 2004, the survey includes recommendations on the ideal corporate website and compares CEE companies with the ideal, identifying best practice and enabling CEE companies to benchmark their disclosure against peers in the region, other emerging markets and industry best practice.
