DLA Piper Offers Scholarship Competition to Ukrainian Law Students
DLA Piper, the largest global legal services organization, will offer one scholarship for law school students in Ukraine. DLA Piper's 2008 All-Ukraine Scholarship Competition for Law Students is supported by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and Science, the European Business Association, Yuridicheskaya Practika, Investgazeta, Delo, Interfax Ukraine, the Ukrainian Journal of Business Law, Ukrainsky Advokat, Ukrainsky Yuryst, and Sudovy Vypusk. Arterium Releases its Annual Report
On April 9, the Arterium Corporation presented its 2007 annual report with CSR activity results. The Ukrainian pharmaceutical corporation's accomplishments included improvements in quality and new services offered to consumers such as a hot line, trainings and round tables for doctors and pharmacists and improved ecological standards. Arterium also installed modern, safe playgrounds for children in Kyiv and Lviv; cooperated with parks located near factories in Kyiv and Lviv; donated medicine to more then 10,000 children in a joint program with the Klitschko Brothers Foundation (totaling 200,000 UAH); contributed 700,000 UAH to the Ukraine 3000 Foundation's "Children's Hospital of the Future" program; organized employee volunteer initiatives and more. Nadra Bank Implements "Green Office" Initiative
Nadra Bank has developed and implemented a "Green Office" program to reduce environmental impact in their daily operations. Nadra bank uses ecologically clean paper, including recycled paper, and collects used office paper which then is transferred to recycling centers. Its offices are outfitted with special non-hazardous office equipment and furniture, energy efficient lamps, clean air conditioning systems. Nadra Bank encourages everyone to join their initiative and adopt environmentally-friendly strategies in the workplace. Please click here for more information. |
