The Coalition for Children's Internet Safety Cooperates with the Government
On April 22, the Coalition for Children's Internet Safety conducted a round table at which participants from government, business, NGOs discussed children's safety on the Internet. The Ukrainian government considers this issue very critical due to the high rates of children's rights violations through the Internet. The Coalition launched a website, www.safetyonline.org.ua and organized a children's essay contest "On-Liandia - My Safe Country." The Coalition includes the Microsoft's Partnership in Learning Program, the All-Ukrainian Network to Prevent Sexual Exploitation of Children, International School of Equal Opportunities, Institute of Information Society, Internet Association of Ukraine, Publishing House Edipress Ukraina, Ukrtelecom (TM OGO!), Hewlett Packard, Life:), Volia and musician Svyatoslav Vacarchuk. ProCredit Bank installs a new playground for children in Odesa
On May 6, ProCredit Bank held the grand opening of its second playground in Odesa. ProCredit Bank also has built modern, safe playgrounds in Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Mariupol and Donetsk. All playgrounds meet safety and construction standards set by the Ministry of Health. Please click here to learn more. |

British American Tobacco Plants Seeds in Pryluky
On April 19, about 60 employees of the British American Tobacco Kyiv office and Pryluky Tobacco Factory joined the Ichnyansky National Natural Park staff to clean the park and plant over 30,000 pine tree seeds. The volunteers also built a rest place dedicated to Earth Day, which is held every year on April 22. The event was conducted in the framework of BAT's EcoKrok, an environmental project launched in 2007. Please click here for additional information (in Ukrainian). |
