Conference on Sustainability in Business Operations to Take Place in Kyiv 
The Centre for Corporate Citizenship, jointly with the European Academy of Business in Society (Belgium), Bocconi School of Management (Italy) and Responsible Business Forum (Poland), is pleased to announce a conference on "Integrating sustainability into business operations: Implications from RESPONSE project for business and educators in Central and Eastern Europe" on June 6 in Kyiv. Victor Pinchuk Foundation Opens Center for Newborns in Zhytomyr
 
On June 3, The Victor Pinchuk Foundation (VPF) will open Ukraine's most advanced neonatal medical center in Zhytomyr within its "Cradles of Hope" program. The Center, located at Zhytomyr Oblast's Center for Mother and Child Health Care is Ukraine's only infant care center providing complete medical services for newborns. Telenor and the East Europe Foundation help improve quality of life for the disabled in Lviv oblast
 
 
On May 23, telecommunications company Telenor Ukraine and the East Europe Foundation (EEF) announced a grant competition for Lviv oblast NGOs aimed at increasing the quality of life for disabled people. The program "Sustainable Solutions: Ways to Improve the Quality of Life of the Disabled" will help people with special needs develop professional skills, find employment opportunities and provide social assistance. Eco Writing Contest for Journalists
 

The British Embassy in Ukraine and Internews Ukraine, a nonprofit organization dedicated to media development, announced a joint contest for journalists to cover energy efficiency and climate change issues in Ukraine. Organizers invite journalists to submit news clips published or broadcast between June 1, 2007 and July 31, 2008 that cover energy conservation technology or problems caused by climate change. The deadline for submissions is August 4, 2008. For more information please click here (in Ukrainian).
