Nadra Bank Presents its Annual Social Report
 
On June 5, Nadra Bank presented its 2007 Social Report, demonstrating the bank's efforts to actively support social development. The bank adhered to international standards for non-financial reporting, including providing information on the core features of their sustainable development plan, including social, economic and environmental activities. Expert Magazine, East Europe Foundation, Azot Chemical Company and Xerox Moldova Organize an International CSR Seminar 
 
On June 18, Expert Magazine, East Europe Foundation, Azot Chemical Company and Xerox Moldova will conduct an intensive training seminar on "Mass Media and Corporate Social Responsibility" for journalists and editors from Odesa oblast and Moldova. During this seminar, conducted in cooperation with the Odesa City Council Information Department, specialized sessions will increase the media's understanding of CSR, discuss why it is important for Ukrainian communities, and illustrate how to report on it in a balanced fashion. UN Global Compact in Ukraine Launches "Go Green" Initiative
On July 3, the UN Global Compact in Ukraine will launch their "Go Green" declaration and present the global "Caring for Climate" initiative as business and civil society leaders sign public declarations of commitment to environmental protection. The national "Go Green" campaign will raise public awareness of environmental issues at public events and initiate a national policy dialogue to get stakeholders involved in policy discussions. Activities include Dniepr "Clean Up" weekends for corporate volunteer groups, a national survey on climate change, meetings and conferences. For more information, click here.
