Euro Leasing Automobile Company Helps Orphans
 
On June 25, Euro Leasing automobile company announced its new social program to benefit orphans in seven Ukrainian cities (Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Simferopol and Kharkiv). Euro Leasing is organizing the "Joyful Quick Children's Assistance" program with support from over 50 additional car companies. The company will determine each orphanage's needs and collect donations, including money. "Joyful Quick Children's Assistance" will help 660 orphans adapt to real life and adulthood with specialized trainings conducted in cooperation with the Friends of Children Foundation. Telenor and East Europe Foundation Lead Support for Young Violin Student
 
Telenor continued its support for Ukrainian cultural development by taking on the lead sponsorship role in the purchase of a full-size violin for a top young Ukrainian violinist, Taisia Gerasimchuk, this week. Following a benefit recital organized by volunteers from the East Europe Foundation, which raised nearly $2000 in contributions and pledges from 35 individuals, Telenor agreed to provide the remaining funding needed to purchase the violin for Gerasimchuk, age 13, who just graduated from Children's Art School Number 2 under the tutelage of E. I. Serenchenko. Gerasimchuk, who has been studying violin for six years, has won numerous competitions.

Centre for CSR Development Invites Companies to a Training on CSR
 
July 16-17, the Centre for CSR Development will conduct a training seminar, "What is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and How to Benefit from It" in partnership with the CSR Company (Innsbruck, Austria). The two-day training will consist of lectures, discussions, small group work and other activities to help participants understand practical applications of CSR and improve their company's CSR performance. Slavske Rock Fest 2008 Celebrates the Environment in Lviv Oblast
International Rock Festival "Slavske Rock Fest 2008" will call attention to environmental issues June 25-27 in Lviv Oblast. The festival will include interactive seminars on climate change, the Carpathian conservation zone, energy efficiency and waste reduction. Support for the festival came from Skole District state administration, Kurort Slavske association, Ukrainian Skiing Club, Rutenia Tour JSC, Poland Institute and others.
