UC RUSAL, ZALK Announce Grant Competition in Zaporizhzhia
On July 25 UC RUSAL and Zaporizhzhia Production Aluminium Plant (ZALK) announced a small grants competition to implement social results-oriented projects in Zaporizhzhia. This year's priority areas include: Public Initiative (involving public in solving important community problems), Healthy Generation (promoting healthy life style among youth) and Clean City (raising public awareness on important ecological issues). Ethical Corporation invites Ukraine Business Representatives to CSR Conference in Prague
Ethical Corporation will host a Central and Eastern Europe Corporate Responsibility Summit in Prague on October 13-14. The event seeks to promote best CSR management practices in the region and beyond. This two-day business conference will feature senior executives from Shell, Nestle, Microsoft, RWE Stoen, Danone, System Capital Management, Czech Coal, DHL Express, Siemens, BP, SABMiller and many more - giving the opportunity to participants to benchmark their CSR efforts against those of the leading corporations in the region. Procter & Gamble Plans $4 Million Ecological Investment
Procter & Gamble Manufacturing Ukraine (P&G) announced plans to invest $4 million in environmental programs, building on more than $2 million P&G has invested in modernizing purification systems and environmental protection over the past two years. In addition, P&G funded a new playground for 250 children in Ordzhonikidze, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The playground opened on August 1.
